About Us

IMEX Green Team

In line with our aim to produce as little waste as possible, IMEX runs a Green Team for all show delegates. Launched in 2010 the Green Team was established to help exhibitors reduce the levels of waste output from their stands, and to encourage the use of sustainable energy sources throughout the exhibition.

Since then waste output at IMEX has consistently decreased. In 2010 waste output was 136.7 tonnes, and results from the 2011 exhibition show a decrease of 15.4 tonnes compared with 2010 - a 11% decrease, so congratulations to all those exhibitors who joined the Green Team, your efforts have made a difference.

New for 2012 IMEX have launched an additional set of green tasks for our hosted buyers and visitors so they can play their part in our sustainable mission.

How to Join the Green Team

By creating green tasks IMEX hopes to reduce the overall levels of waste output for the exhibition, increase the use of sustainable power and promote corporate social responsibility.

Exhibitors can join the Green Team by completing at least two of the three green tasks. Hosted buyers and visitors can join the team by completing two green tasks. Once accomplished delegates should complete either the Exhibitor Green Team Application Form or the Hosted Buyer and Visitor Green Team Application Form and take this to the Sustainability Hub at the show. Here you will receive a green ribbon to wear during the exhibition to show you have completed IMEX's green tasks.

Green Team members will be featured on this webpage after the show and Green Team exhibitors will also be listed in the 2013 Show Catalogue.
