About Us

IMEX Green Team

In line with our aim to produce as little waste as possible, IMEX launched the Green Team in 2010. The Green Team was established to help exhibitors reduce the levels of waste output from their stands, and to encourage the use of sustainable energy sources throughout the exhibition.

Waste output at IMEX 2009 was 166.81 tonnes, an increase on the previous year's waste figures. Research shows that 23% of this increase was due to brochures being left behind after the show. Waste results from the 2010 exhibition show a decrease of 30.16 tonnes compared with 2009, so congratulations to all those exhibitors who joined the Green Team, your efforts have made a difference.

How to Join the Green Team

By creating three green tasks IMEX hopes to reduce the overall levels of waste output for the exhibition and increase the use of sustainable power.

All exhibitors can join the Green Team by completing at least two of the three green tasks.

Members of the Green Team will receive a green ribbon to wear during the exhibition to show they have completed IMEX's green tasks. Exhibitors should complete the Green Team application form and take this to the Corporate Responsibility Centre to receive a green ribbon to wear during the exhibition.

Green Tasks

Exhibitors must complete at least two of the three green tasks to join the Green Team.

1. Use USB sticks instead of printed brochures. USB sticks can be ordered through the USB stick order form in the Exhibitor Manual.

2. Send your left over brochures home for re-use after the show. Shipping can be arranged by completing the Shipping Form in the Exhibitor Manual.

3. Use hydroelectricity on your stand instead of standard electricity. Hydroelectricity can be ordered through the "Electricity Green" order form in the Exhibitor Manual.
