SevenCenters of Germany – 7th Anniversary

In May 2002 the seven biggest German convention centres with large exhibition grounds directly adjacent founded the marketing alliance “SevenCenters of Germany”. Since then, the Big Seven have jointly promoted Germany internationally as a meetings destination with the slogan “Great Places for Great Conventions”. At IMEX 2009 the SevenCenters now celebrate their seventh anniversary.
Since the marketing alliance’s foundation, the SevenCenters have numbered among the foremost representatives of the German meetings industry on the international stage, positively influencing growing awareness of the destination. The seven convention centres are spread across the whole of Germany, making the SevenCenters a perfect portfolio of venues for organisers of major international events. All the members can boast conference facilities of a similar dimension featuring a direct link to extensive exhibition space.

Meeting Industry: Rome and Lazio are ready to offer you more

ATLazio, the Agency for Tourism Promotion of Rome and Lazio, shows the strong points of the Meeting Industry of Rome and Latium. The Agency is involved together with Regione Lazio and the other local institutions in the creation of a system aiming to better support facilities, services and professionals of the Meeting Industry. In fact, the conference system of Rome and Latium is able to meet any need in a competitive way, with an offer that can accommodate a total of over 86 thousand persons and includes the possibility of choosing the most appropriate solution, from the historic and always current “Eur Congressi” venue to the “Nuova Fiera di Roma,” the “Auditorium Parco della Musica” and even Fiuggi, the famous spa not far from the capital and particularly active on the meeting front.

Added to all this is the capacity of many other venues for events in Italy’s capital, ranging from historic dwellings to hotels provided with sometimes spacious conference rooms, offbeat locations and conference centres plus venues located in other provinces of Latium that may be less well known but are no less interesting. The presentation of Eur Congressi will also include an illustration of the major project for the New Convention Centre of Rome (featuring its modular elements and functional features). The concluding presentation will spotlight the “Capitalis” Auditorium, former main hall of the “Palazzo dei Congressi” conference building of Rome, which has been totally restyled and recently opened to the public. Fiera di Roma will then highlight the agreement reached with hotels for the purpose of guaranteeing major international events important room slots and collaboration with ATAC (Rome’s mass transit authority) so as to offer new services on such occasions. Not to be overlooked are customer satisfaction data, the final balance for 2007-2009 and forecasts for the 3-year period 2010-2013.

The presentation will be followed by the tasting of typical products of the territory.
