Shipping materials with other freight companies
When shipping materials with another freight company you must ensure that a representative from your company is at your booth to meet the delivery person and sign for the delivered goods.

Delivery staff need a special permit to access the hall. This can be obtained in the Organizer’s office (IMEX Operations Team), Hall 8, Level 8.0, Room 49. General security tips
- Do not leave small items lying around
- Portable items of any kind should be kept in a sturdy, strong, locked place
- Do not leave items under tables or information counters unguarded
- Laptops, projectors, plasma screens and similar electronic devices should always be guarded
- Secure valuable items with Kensington locks during the day
- Escort your goods to your booth so that there is no misunderstanding and there is a continuity of control from your vehicle to your booth
- Do not leave your booth unattended during buildup and breakdown
- Install and display technical and AV equipment on the last buildup day or the morning before the exhibition opens and dismantle your technical equipment as soon as the exhibition finishes
- Have a member of staff remain on your booth with the shipment until it is picked up
Personal possessions
In addition to being careful, there are things you can do to protect possessions, particularly at night when no one is on the booth:

- Carry small items to your hotel each night
- Hire security staff from the official security contractor to guard your booth (hire them through Messe Frankfurt Serviceshop)
- Do not leave attractive/expensive-looking items where they can be easily picked up
- Use strong safeguards; a heavy lock is not effective on a flimsy door
- Do not hide materials behind booths as guards cannot patrol these areas
Aisle safety regulations
To meet health and safety regulations during buildup and breakdown, and to give booth constructors access to their booths there are designated safety aisles throughout the hall. These must be kept clear at all times, and must not be blocked, used to store building materials, furniture or anything else. Security staff and IMEX representatives patrol the hall to make sure all exhibitors and booth constructors adhere to this rule.
