Arrival and departure information for Frankfurt airport

Arrival at Frankfurt airport

If you arrive outside the transfer dates/times below make your own way to your hotel or IMEX (at your own expense).

Due to construction work at Frankfurt airport, shuttle buses cannot pick up or drop off outside the terminal buildings. The pickup and drop off point will be bus stop P36 between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.

At bus stop P36, make sure you have your IMEX badge ready for our hosts to scan. You can show this on the IMEX App or email if you haven't yet printed it.

Arriving at Terminal 1
Go through baggage reclaim (even if you don’t have luggage to collect) and exit through the doors after the baggage carousels. Look for a host in a red IMEX t-shirt/jacket or go to the IMEX counter in arrival hall C, where you will be directed to bus stop P36, (around seven minutes' walk).

Arriving at Terminal 2
Go to the arrival hall after you've picked up your luggage and gone through customs. Look for a host in a red IMEX t-shirt/jacket or go to the IMEX counter between the arrival halls D and E; the host will escort you to the internal airport shuttle bus. Leave the shuttle bus at the P36 bus stop and walk across the road to the bus parking.

Contact your group leader/intermediary, if arriving for a fam trip or as a group. No IMEX transfers available.

Arriving Monday 13 May

On arrival at Frankfurt airport, IMEX hosts will direct you to your shuttle bus and will transfer you to your hosted hotel.

You will be contacted by IMEX nearer the time with instructions.

Arriving Monday 13 May for Association Focus

Make your way on foot, following signs for the Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel & Conference Centre. Alternatively, if you have time, you can take the IMEX shuttle bus to your hotel to drop your bags then make your way to the Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel & Conference Centre at your own expense. Note that you will not be able to check in to your hotel until the afternoon. Luggage storage is available at Association Focus free of charge.

Arrival Tuesday 14 May and Wednesday 15 May

Between 8am to 4pm you will be taken directly to Messe Frankfurt with your luggage. Bags can be stored free-of-charge in the cloakroom in Hall 9 at Messe Frankfurt on production of your hosted buyer badge.

Arrival at Frankfurt main train station

On arrival walk to the end of the platform and look for a host in a red IMEX t-shirt/ jacket who will direct you to the bus parking (around a 3-minute walk) to the Flixbus Shop Stop (exit station by Platform 1. Parking is behind the Intercity Hauptbahnhof Süd Hotel).

Monday 13 May – no shuttle buses; make your own way to your hotel on public transport.

Tuesday 14 May - from 8:30am to 12pm every 20 min
Wednesday 15 May - from 8:30am to 12pm every 20 min
Thursday 16 May - from 8:30am to 12pm every 20 min

Departure from Frankfurt

On the morning of departure:
 

• Check out of your hotel settling any additional expenses


• Confirm the check-out time with your hotel


• Make sure you're on the show floor by 10am, regardless of check-out time


• Bring your luggage to Messe Frankfurt and store it in the cloakroom in Hall 9 (free of charge)

If you leave outside the transfer dates/times below make your own way to the airport (at your own expense).

Transfers from Messe Frankfurt to Frankfurt airport

To Frankfurt airport:
Tuesday 14 May from 8:30am to 6:30pm, every 20 minutes
Wednesday 15 May from 8:30am to 6:30pm, every 20 minutes
Thursday 16 May from 8:30am to 5:30pm, every 20 minutes

Allow extra time to get to the airport as shuttle buses will drop you off at bus stop P36 (seven minutes' walk from Terminal 1). Take the internal airport shuttle bus from P36 to Terminal 2.
 

Transfers from Messe Frankfurt to Frankfurt main train station

To Frankfurt main train station:
Tuesday 14 May from 3pm to 6:30pm, every 15 minutes
Wednesday 15 May from 3pm to 6:30pm, every 15 minutes
Thursday 16 May from 2pm to 5:30pm, every 15 minutes

Information on Friday departure transfers will be available nearer to the show. Buyers leaving on Friday will also be contacted by email during the show.
